Body Tradition features a dialogue in dance exploring the relationship between Taiwan/Thailand, individual/community and memory/culture. Chen Wu-Kang (Taiwan) and Pichet Klunchun (Thailand) co-create a choreography based on a close examination of their individual memories to evoke a body that belongs to the past. Through the exchange of movement, itself an artistic creation, the performance invites a fundamental inquiry into the tradition through the juxtaposition, contrast, dialogue between, and subversion of, the history of theater and society.

Following the traces of tradition, we have been searching all the time, about why the contemporary was born, why it changed, and why it exists.

The project had its two work-in-progress showings titled as Body Tradition in 2016-2017before it was officially renamed as Behalf in 2018.
